7/6-7/08
Well my best finish of the year at the AMS. This week was a little different because we had to run double features so we did not run heat races. Just two features, I started the night by drawing a 5, my best draw of the year and in the first Main I started 9th and Ii ended up finishing in the 8th spot, not to bad. In the second race I started in the 3rd spot and came home with a 4th place finish, it was my best finish at the AMS and I learned alot on just how to drive the car because it is so much different than anything I have ever driven before. At the end of the night I was in the Promoters Race and the winner qualifies to run against all of the winners at the end of the season. I won the race and was very excited to go to Victory Lane even though it was not a points race.. I am looking foward to going back next week. I want to thank my sponsers ABF and Aarons , my mom and dad and Casey Roderick for giving me a few tips.
7/13/08
Well this week at Lanier went really good, I started the night by drawing 31 out of 80, not to bad compared to what I have been drawing before. I wasn’t good in practice, too tight in the center. Dad was at Chicago and so I called him right before his race started and got some set ups from him to try. In the heat race was better but still not good enough, still too tight in the center. I couldn’t talk to dad this time because his race had already started so I changed what else he told me I might have to and went for it in the main. I started the main in 16 out of 18 and made my way up to 2nd , my best finish so far in the legend car this year. I called my Dad’s crew chief Andretti with ten laps to go in Dad’s race and told him I finished second and he told my Dad. I want to thank Terry Roberts and my Uncle Randy for coming out to Lanier and helping me race since Dad couldn’t be there. I am looking foward to going back to Lanier and going to Charlotte for the summer shootout and Atlanta for the Thursday Thunder later this week..
7/10/08
This week at LMS was fun untill lap 8 of the feature. I started the night by drawing a 367 out of 400, my usaul bad draw but it was raining and in Charlotte we race in the rain. In the heat race I started last and made my way up to fifth place in the rain. That put me in the show without having to go to the b-main. I started the main race in 20th I think, and made my way up to abolut 10th or so and some one spun out right in front of me and I ran over him and it bent the rack plate and that ended my night but over all it wasnt a bad night.
7/4/08
This week at Lanier was really good and now we know we can run with the leaders. I started the night by drawing 60 out of 66 and started the heat race second row from the back and made it up to second by the end of the race. With a second place in my heat race that gave me a starting position of 4th in the main race and had a good race, missed wrecks and ran with the leaders the whole race. The race ran longer than normal and Coming to the white flag I ran out of gas, mostly my fault but now I know that I can run with the leaders at Lanier and that was fun! I am looking forward to going back next week.
7/3/08
This week at AMS was a petty good day, started out by drawing a 35 out of 40 and started last in the heat and ended up 5th, I started the main in 16th and missed a few wrecks and came home with an 11th place finish, not too bad but I had fun and it was a desent finish, I want to thank my Mom and Dad for taking me to all of the races and Jim for coming and helping me when Dad can ’t be there and my sponsers for all of the support they have given me.
7/1/08
At Lowes motor speedway this week in the summer shootout series, I started the night by drawing a 355 out of 400, not good. started last in the heat and finished 5th, just barly made it to the last transfer spot so I didn’t have to run the B-Main. Did not do very good in the main but it was a little because I didn’t draw good and we went green for the whole 20 laps. I started 20th in the main and I think I finished 19 so a solid finish but I think I could of done a lot better. I want to thank my Mom and Dad and my sponsers, ABF,Aarons, and the Pool Room.
6/28/08
Well we had a good night at Lanier, started the night by drawing a 61 which wasn’t very good and I was not very good in practice. Started last in the heat race and only got a position or two so not very good in the heat either but after my heat dad told me to just try to drive it a little different so I tried it in the main and it worked out really good and I ended up in 6th and 1-6 were nose to tail so it was a good night and I learned a lot. Now that we have learned some things a Lanier, mainly because my Dad raced in the Masters division of the Legends too, I am really looking forward to going back this Friday night on the 4th of July to see what I can do.
6/26/08
Well another okay week at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, I started the night by
drawing a 36, not good. Didn't do good in the heat race and ended up in the
back of the field to start the main event but in the main I came back to 11,
I started almost last so not bad we just have to keep working at this legend
racing so we can get it figured out so we can start running up front but I
had alot of fun and I'm looking foward to going back to see if we can get
going better for the fans and for all of my sponsors.
6/25/08
Well this week at Lowes Motor Speedway was not too bad but not too good either, I started the night thinking maybe I might have some luck because I drew a 15 out of 400 which was really good. I ended up starting on the pole in my heat race and ended up fourth, the car was a little tight in the center and a little loose off but not to bad over all. I am not sure where I started the main but it was about midpack. About half way through trhe race I got pushed in the corner and slipped up and hit someone with the right front and it towed it out pretty bad which made me not to good after that but I finished 19th, not too bad but I had fun and I want to thank my sponsers and my mom and dad for supporting me and being there.
6/19/08
Another okay night at the AMS thunder ring, we started the night by drawing a 37 out of 40, another bad draw for me but started the heat race in 10th and got in a little wreck and it towed it out a little but we got it straight for the main event. Started in the back but had the bast car that i have run at the AMS thunder ring and made my way up to 10th which wasnt to bad from where i started but came out with a top ten finish but i wished i could of had more luck in he heat race but the important thing is that i had fun and i want to thank my mom and dad for taking me and letting me race and my sponsers, ABF, Pool Room, and Aarons for being very suportive. I had alot of fun and i am looking foward to going back to Lowes for the summer shootout up there.
6/19/08
Well on tuesday at Lowes motor speedway was a pretty good day for the Bill Elliott Racing team, i started the day by drawing 372 out of 400 not good at all but started the heat race in last, 10th and made it to 6th but they only took 5 out of the heat race into the feature. This ment that i would have to run the b-main. I started the b-main in 7th and made it to 3rd in the b-main, so finally i had made it into the main race. started the main in 23rd out of 30 and made my way up to 9th by dodging wrecks and passing some cars. I had alot of fun and i am looking foward to racing at AMS tonight in the Thursday thunder.
6/17/08
Well, this week of racing didnt go to bad. On Tuesday in charlotte I started the night by drawing a 173 out of 400 which isn't to bad, in the heat race I finished 6th and they only took 5 into the feature so I thought that I was going to have to run the bmain. Not long after we found out that someone in
front of me got black flaged on the heat which put me in the main, I started 17 out of 28 and missed a few wrecks and ended up in 11th. I had alot of fun in charlotte. Next we headed to Atlanta to race on Thursday , I started by drawing a 40 , not to gud, in the heat race got in a little wreck and tore off the lf fender and knocked the toe out. In the main I just rode around and Im not sure were I finished but I had fun anyway, and I'm looking foward to the next week of racing.
6/6/08
The first week of thursday thunder went alright. I started the night with drawing a 3 and started on the pole in the second heat race. I lead the first four laps and locked up my left front brake and got shuffled all the way to the back, "freight trained". I started last in the main and was running as fast as the leaders by lap times. I came up to some one and just couldn't find a spot to get around him. I'm not sure were I finished but all in all it was an okay night but I had fun and thats all that matters. I'm looking forward to next week and looking forward to going to charlotte too.I want to thank my sponsors, ABF, POOL ROOM, Aarons, it's great to have you as my sponsors.
3/17/08
Well it was a great way to end the season with a win at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This race was a little different because it was cup weekend so all we did was draw and race. Started the race in 3rd but the kid on the pole broke before the start and I just moved up a row and started the race on the pole. It was a 20 lap race and I led all the laps and brought home not only a win but a winter series and winter flurry championship. ABF was there to support me as they have been all season long but this time in person and I really enjoyed meeting some of there most valued customers during a Q and A on Saturday and then again on Sunday. I can’t thank them enough for sticking with me into my future and I am really looking forward to bringing them more wins and championships along the way. I’m looking forward to racing the ABF legend car this summer and I hope we do as good in that as we did in the bandolero. I also want to thank ABF for being a great sponser and hope to be apart of their team in the future
3/4/08
Well it was a great week in Cordele coming from a wreck at the road course at the AMS. This week was a double feature because the last race at cordele was rained out. We started the day with a good practice and won the heat race. The track officials decided to run the race that was rained out first. I started the makeup race in third and got a good start and jumped to the lead coming out of turn two. I lead the whole race and ended up winning the makeup race. After the makup race we got a break to work on our car and got to watch the legends race. We lined up on the pole for our main feature of the day and got beat going into turn one. After about 10 laps i finally got around the leader and came home with a win in Cordele. Next week is the last race for the winter series at AMS and I hope to finish the season good and I m looking foward to the summer shootout as well.

Our week at Lanier went very well. In practice we ran well but when it came time for the heat race I started first and got a bad start and got hung on the outside and ended up way back in 4th. When it came time for the main I made sure that I got a good start and got to the bottom of the track. I made my way to first and started to pull away from second, I caught up to some lap traffic and passed them on the outside and lost bunch of time, but by then it was the white flag and ended up first at Lanier. I hope to have a good race at Cordele next weekend which will be a double feature for my class because of the rain out the last trip down there.

Atlanta went very well. This week was the make up for the road course event that we were unable to run a few weeks ago due to the weather. This time it was a beautiful, sunny day, but not as many competitors as usual were in attendance. We used the same set up as last time and it ran very well for us again. We started on qualifying times and I was on the pole. We ran a eight lap feature and I won the race. It has been a long week for me. I was sick with the flu and missed two days of school and then a close friend of ours died at the age of 22 years old. She was an avid UGA fan like me and also a student of UGA. She was a fan of racing and always pulled for my Dad and Kasey Kahne as well as me with my racing. So this one’s for you Glenda. I will miss you a lot.

Well I raced at Cordele, GA this weekend. It was cold and raining but we worked through it and got most of the classes both heats and mains in except mine. We will have to race a double race when we go back for the final event at Cordele in a couple of weeks. I drew a low number and started my heat race in last place but worked my way up to third right behind first and second place by the end of the race which would have put me in a pretty good staring position for the main and still will but just on another day so stay tuned.

We are officially half way through the winter series season now! Six more races to go. The winner of each division is invited to driver introduction at the podium of the Sprint Cup series race during the March Atlanta race. Everyone is excited about that. We had another great week, this time it was at Lanier, to start it off dad was there. I drew a 44 which was not very good going into the heat race but I raced my way to the front and came in 2nd in the heat race. I started outside pole in the main and raced side by side with 3rd place, finally after a few laps of racing I caught the leader and made my move to win the race. I want to thank my mom and dad for supporting me and my sponsors; I hope to have a good week back at the AMS road course this weekend.

Another great week in Atlanta but this time it's not the thunder ring it's the road course, in the bandolero division we have to have chicanes down the straight a ways to slow us down, since we have to have those they separated all of the classes which means that first we run the bandolero then legend and finally the roadster. We started the day off with practice and I ran pretty good. They did European qualifying based on practice times and that put me on the pole for the start of the main event. I ended up winning the feature race but almost got taken out by 00 Kyle Plott on the last lap. Kyle's breaks gave out going into turn one and he missed the entrance into the corner and shot straight across the track which caused a very narrow miss as I entered into the second turn. Later at banquet for the summer shootout some of the corner workers and officials said they were holding their breath at the sight of the narrow miss that would have been a direct hit in the driver's door of my car. It was a good day and I hope to do well at Lanier since I didn't run very well there last time and dad will be coming this time so maybe we will do better. I was thrilled at winning the Rookie of the year award at the banquet for the Summer Shootout this weekend as well.

Well we had another great weekend at AMS! We started the night with a good car and I drew a two which put me on the pole starting in first in the first heat race. When the greeen flag waved in the heat race I didn't have a very good start and got beat in the heat race coming in second. We were all lined up for the main race and the leader wasn't there so when he got there the race official said your late and made him start in the back, he wasn't very happy about that and after the race had started I was leading and lead the whole race and brought home a first place. We had a great weekend and hope to have another good one on Jan. 5th which will be at the AMS road course.

My sponsors are again. ABF and Aarons and I am very happy to have them back for this winter flurry and Georgia winter series events.
Well I've had a pretty good first three races of the season, the first race began at Atlanta Motor Speedway and then on to Lanier, for the first time racing the banoleros at Lanier, and the most recent race that has occurred was at Cordele. Well at the AMS, the first race of the winter series was a great one! I captured a win that night with a fun and exiting race. I started 3rd in the main and made my way up to 2nd before the first caution and in the remaining 10 laps I went on to 1st capturing my first win of the winter series. Next was Lanier which was a okay night but not the greatest coming home in 3rd, but it was a learning experience. From the beginning of the night I wasn't the greatest and in the main race it was pretty boring, the leader ran away with it and me, starting 2nd held off 3rd for as long as I could but with only a few laps left he got around me took off with the leader, like I said not the greatest night but well take it for sure, nothings wrong with 3rd! Finally the most recent race was at Cordele which was another awesome night, bringing home a victory! I started the night with a good car and kept it until the night was over, I came in 2nd in the heat race and in the main I raced hard with the leader and finally passed him with about 12 laps to go, I managed to hold off 2nd and ended up winning at Cordele! Well all in all these first 3 races have been awesome and hopefully I'll do like this at AMS this Friday December 14th!

Well at the Atlanta Motor speedway in Hampton GA I captured my second victory in a row at the Thursday Thunder Division. It all started with me drawing a 25 and started my heat race in the 4th position and ending up 2nd. There was no inversion so I started inside second row '3rd' for the main race. We started and the 199, 41, and me got off and left the pack about 15 laps into the race the 41 got really loose and I drove under him for the lead with the 199 on my tail but he didn't get around the 41 so I got out to a good lead and lead the rest of the way to capture my second win! I took my ABF #9 Bandolero to the start finish and thanked all my sponsors ABF, Aaron's, The Pool Room, VP Racing Fuels and, Georgia Racing Hall Of Fame. And headed over to Papa Johns victory lane and took some pictures. It was a great way to finish off Thursday Thunder and great fun in front my home town track fans! I would like to thank all of my sponsors for supporting me through out the summer season with one race to go this Tuesday evening in Charlotte it has been a blast and I am looking forward to the Winter Flurry.

Well yesterday was the best day yet! At the Atlanta Motor Speedway, I finally captured my first win in the bandolero bandits division. I drew a 31, but the way I draw imagine that. I started the heat race in the 4th position and the car wasn't good and fell back to 5th. We took the car back to the garage and changed the setup just a little bit. I started the main race in the 10th position and made my way 5th before the first caution and from there I made my way up to 2nd and then there was another caution and after that Ii took the lead on lap 12 and held it until the checkered flag and by then I had just won my first bandolero victory! I came to the start finish and thanked everybody and then went to victory lane for some pictures and drive to tech. Well. I made it through tech and I was legal. Well anyways I'm very exited to have won my first bandolero victory. I want to thank all my sponsors for supporting me. I am waiting to find out if Gordon Pirkle sounded the siren in Dawsonville from the Pool Room.

Well another bad week in ATL. i got there and drew a 36 out of 40 and started in the last row in the heat race, but i came up to 2nd in the heat and started the main in 6th cause of the inversion. I made my way up to second in the main and on the restart the kid behind me jumped the start on a green white checkered and i got shuffled back and then when we were coming back to take the checkered there was a wreck in front of me and i hit one of them and tried to go and finish but he turned back down the track and put me in the wall and i didn't finish.I'm very upset that they let people jump the start like that they really need to stop it because it ends up making the rest of us tear up equipment fighting for position thats the second time were i should of won or at least finished 2nd in the race but got hit on a re-start. I like the way Charlotte does their re-starts because you are not allowed to pass before the flag stand there and that pretty much eliminates the jumping the start problem. And on top of all of that i had the fastest lap in practice at Atlanta Monday night once again. Well all i can say is that were gunna go to Charlotte and try to have a better time there.

The 3rd race in the CO Sprint Championship was a good race! I flew up there from ATL the day of practice which would be on Sat. and get the kart ready for tomorrows race in The Track At Centianal in Den. CO. I qualified 2nd in my shifter and 1st in my mini max. In the heat races i came in 2nd in my shifter and 1st in my mini max. And for the main races it was the same 1st in mini max and 2nd in shifter. As soon as the races we're over i jumped in the car and drove to the airport and tried to get on a flight to go back to atl and get ready to go to Charlotte, NC. Man when i first jumped in the karts I felt like i was flying. Im looking foward to going to Charlotte and having a good race there to.

Well another race where I was in the wrong place at the wrong time but, I had a good night. I drew an impressive 7 on the draw and started 1st for the second heat race and held everybody off for the wrest of the race. The bad part of that was that they inverted 8 which means that the person in 8th go to first and so on. So i started 7th inside for the main and on the first lap there was a wreck but I avoided it and got ready to go double file and do the restart. The field got to turn four and checked up and I happened to get tapped and spun around and couldn't get around everybody but came back 7th.So we're getting ready to go to Charlotte on Monday and start a new week.

Well Charlotte wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but then again, I drew well and made the main from my heat race, so that helped a lot. I started fourth for my heat race and ended up third with a clean race. In the main, I started eighth and came up to fourth. There was a wreck and I had to dodge it. On the start I lost a couple of spots and rode around till the end of the race. I drove back to the pits and started to load up the trailer for the long ride back to GA. I also started to get the car ready for practice in Atlanta, such as take my restricter plate and get the right setup for Atlanta. All in all, I had a good race in Charlotte and hope to finish it off in Atlanta with a good finish and a clean car.

7/5/07
Well last week was the best week yet! I had the fastest lap all weekend but got penalized again in the main race. I drew 11th and that put me 4th
for the heat race. I came to the green coming off turn four and got a great start and split the middle for the lead. I held the lead for the rest of the race and ended up winning my heat race. I started on the lead and got off to a great start and then a caution came out dang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i got put back in with everybody else and had to make sure that i got a good start. Well i didn't and had to go low down the front strait away the person in second went under me and tried to spin me out and i saved it but he didn't and they sent me to the back with only 6 laps to go. well i got on a roll and made it up to third and couldn't catch the leaders. i was legal going through tech but the kid in second wasn't so i realy ended up second with a fast lap of 17.109 and had a great night. I'm looking foward to next week but it will be very busy racing in Charlotte and Atlanta. I had a great time and am looking foward to it.

Well yesterday was an okay day cause I didn't wreck but I didn't finish good either. I didn't finish good because I bumped a car going into one and I spun him out and they sent me to the back. I spun out the number 7 car of Alex Coffey. I'm very sorry because of what I did to him. Before I got sent to the back I was in the top five or six and Alex was a laped car. I started 11th and ended up 11th. So; all in all last night wasen't bad because we learned a lot about set up and I got more seat time that I need.

Last week was great cause I didn't tear anything up and I finished well. I drew 5th for the heat and ended up 6th. They inverted the top six and I was 6th, so i ended up started 1st in the main and lead the first 10 laps and got passed and passed and passed and ended up 6th this was a great night!

Last Thursday night was okay. We got in a wreck in the heat race on the first lap in the first turn. It tore up most of the left side of the body and broke the left front spindle. When I brought the car back into the garage the whole team; and others in the garage from other teams, chipped in and helped get the car put back together. To fix the damage, we used duct tape because that was the only body we had. We had to start last in the main race, but when I pulled up to the grid something was smoking on the left rear. Again everyone chipped in and we got that fixed and went back up to the grid just in time for the race. The car was good but was a little tight and got worse throughout the race. I ended up bringing the ABF Bandolero to a ninth place finish. Currently I am 8th in the point's standings. I am hoping for a good clean race next Thursday.

Last Sunday I had a very good time racing in CO in the Colorado Sprint Championship with the help of Barry Lewis and the Billet racing team. We started out with a few problems on the kart but worked through them in practice. In my tag class we managed to qualify 1st win the heat and win the main, I lead every lap in my tag kart through the qualifying session, the heat race, and the main event. In the shifter class we qualified 2nd because I could not get a clean lap in, in the heat I came in 2nd, and in the main we got a great start and won the race. In the shifter we had a very big problem in the main, after the long straight away the kart would just quit on me and I had to re start it, but managed to come home with a win. Another fun note was that my mom was texting Fatback (my dad's crew chief- Michael McSwain) saying how I was doing and he would update my dad in Pocono during the race.

Well this weekend was not very good at all. We got in a bad wreck and tore the car up pretty bad. It broke the tie-rod and bent the back of the car about four inches to the right. But on the good side of the night I came from seventh to second in the heat race, and was running in second when the wreck happened. We're going to try our hardest to get the car ready for next week and hopefully have a great time.

Last week was great! I had a great time at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, in the first race of the Thursday Thunder series. My friend, Judd Plott, drew the pole for me. We finished 3rd in the heat race and changed a gear on the car in the main and did not do very good finishing 7th in the race. We will go back to the second race of the series and try our very hardest. I am currently sixth in the Thursday Thunders standings with 84 points, 16 points behind the leader.
